Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program 2023

The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program provides funding for teaching assistantships in over 30 languages at hundreds of universities and colleges across the United States. Fulbright seeks to improve Americans’ understanding of foreign cultures and languages.

The programme enables educators from more than 50 countries to advance their careers while learning firsthand about the United States, its culture, and its people.

Eligibility Criteria

Here are the eligibility criteria for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant:

• At the time of application, the applicant must be a resident of the country of nomination.
• Have a solid academic record and the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree; Many colleges and universities value master’s degrees.
• Are adaptable and eager to learn new things
• Furthermore, they can work creatively and independently while also eager to collaborate as part of a team with students, staff, faculty, staff, and students.
• Applicants must show integrity, maturity, professionalism, and dependability clearly.
• Also, they can live in both rural and urban settings.
• Furthermore, the applicant must not be a dual citizen of the United States to participate in the program.
• Applicant must be fluent in English, as demonstrated by a recent score of no less than 79-80 (Internet Based TOEFL – IBT), 550 (Paper Based TOEFL), or 6.0 (Overall Score International English Language Testing System – IELTS).
• Test scores can be submitted to IIE by indicating the institutional code 2326 on the test day.
• In addition, an applicant must be an early career English teacher or in the process of becoming one, or an early career educator in a relevant discipline; prior teaching experience is recommended.
• Have a genuine desire to teach original language and culture to American kids.
